This is an older song by MercyMe, but it’s one of my favorites. It’s funny, because it’s written as if you are breaking up with yourself. However, evertime I hear it, it reminds me that it is not about me! I need to get out of my own way and only follow Jesus, not myself. Following myself never works out. Following Jesus always does.
MercyMe is one of my favorite Christian bands. My husband took me to see them last fall and I only gained a greater appreciation for them. Here is an acoustic version of one of their new songs called “Move”. I’m loving this song. It’s a toe-tapper.

I love the band MercyMe. I’ve always been a fan, but last fall we saw them in concert and now I’m even a bigger fan. They have a new album coming out in May called “The Generous Mr. Lovewell” and this is the first song off of that new album called “All of Creation”. It’s a good reminder of all that God has created, His power and all the glory He deserves. There is a line that says “lay your burden down”. God can handle all of our burdens, He never intended for us to carry them. So, remember all that He has created and accomplished, even in your life….and whatever you are facing He can handle it, so let Him.
