Good Music and Cool Websites

Today I want to pass along some good inspirational music, and a few cool sites I have recently stumbled upon.

Two songs that I really like right now:

“Becoming Who You Are” by Mainstay.  This is a great song with an important message.

I love this song. It’s beautiful and also has a great message:

COOL WEBSITES:

God’s Daytimer:  This site has daily Bible verses and Bible studies along with other good infromation.  It’s a good site to stop by and check out each day.

Debt Free Adventure:  This site is a Bible-based personal finance think tank.  You can find some great tips for saving money on this site.

Bible Money Matters:  Another great Biblically based financial website with a lot of great information.

Christian Career Tools:  Pretty self explanatory.  It’s a good Biblically based Christian advice site.

Stereo Truth:  This site has good  information on Christian music and news.

Aardvark:  My husband showed me this site.  You can ask any question you need answered and someone will answer it for you.  For instance if you are looking for a good hotel in a certain area you can put in that question and someone in that area, or someone who knows will answer you.  You can also join and put in your information and they will send you questions you may be able to answer for your area. Pretty cool.

“Lead Me To The Cross” by Chris and Conrad

I love this song. The worship team at my church sings it occassionally and I love to sing along when they do. The lyrics really speak to me. These lines in particular:

Bring me to my knees Lord
I lay me down
Rid me of myself I belong to You
Lead me, lead me to the cross

Rid me of myself. That one line hits me harder than any of the rest. I think God is trying to tell me something everytime I hear this song. He is telling me to get out of the way so He can do good work in and through me. So I love to sing this song, so that I remember…..to rid me of myself.

Here is the song, along with all of the lyrics. Enjoy. I hope it inspires you in some way.

How He Loves Us

This is one of my favorite Christian songs right now.  The first time I heard it was at our Women’s Retreat.  One of the female singers from our church worship team sang it.  She has an incredible voice and this song is so delicate and moving.  It stuck with me.  I had never heard it before that day.  Then a few weeks ago, I heard it on the radio being sung by the David Crowder Band, and then our worship band sang it one Sunday morning.  Below is the link to a video of this song, with the lyrics.  It is such a beautiful song.

John Mark McMillan actually wrote this song.  He wrote it the day after his best friend was killed in a car accident.  His friend was a youth pastor.  He wrote the song about his friend meeting Jesus up in heaven.  There is a video on YouTube of John singing this song live, and before he begins singing it, he tells the story behind the song.  If you want to see that, you can just go to YouTube and type in his name and the song name (How He Loves Us),  and it should pop up.

Anyway, I love music.  It’s such a gift and I can’t imagine my life without it.  I just wanted to share this song with you, in case you have not already heard it on the radio.
